We are delighted to announce that Everlight Solar has been named a 2023 Emerging Climate Champion! We have received this status under the category of Fleet Operations. Each year, the Climate Champions Program recognizes organizations that are leading the charge on climate action and sustainability practices.
The Fleet Operations category recognizes those who have converted their fleet to electricity, renewable natural gas, and biodiesel. These methods support reduced emissions. Everlight Solar is proud to share that nine vehicles in our fleet qualify as clean energy vehicles! We use our fleet of battery-electric vehicles to participate in community events, parades, and social functions in addition to our daily operations.
Electricity generated by fossil fuels accounts for over 80% of carbon dioxide emissions. This is why we are passionate about offering a cleaner and safer alternative! Expanding our clean energy efforts into our vehicle fleet helps us further reduce our carbon footprint.
The 2023 Emerging Climate Champion Award marks the second recognition we’ve received from Dane County. In 2021, Everlight Solar received Climate Champion Catalyst status for helping others take climate action in the community.
We are eager to expand our green energy efforts as we move into our newly built headquarters in 2024! The 64,000-square-foot headquarters is located on Ambition Street in Verona, Wisconsin – near Costco and Verona Technology Park.
We are passionate about leading the charge on renewable energy and showing others the many ways they can participate in creating a clean and green future for generations to come. This recognition fuels our determination to keep driving sustainability forward.
