We are delighted to collaborate with BrainPower in a BackPack, a volunteer project supporting students in need. This organization is a volunteer project of District 191 Community Education and Burnsville High School. BHS students pack weekend food for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students whose families struggle to put enough food on the table. Because academic performance is related to nutrition, their goal is to improve the student learning experience for children with the greatest need in ISD 191. BrainPower provides an estimated 600-700 weekend food packages to students in need.

Here are some items that are needed:

  • Breakfast bars
  • Shelf-safe meat sticks
  • Crackers
  • Trail mix
  • Oatmeal
  • Individually wrapped snack packs

All donations can be dropped off at our Savage location! For financial contributions, click this link.

This is not the first time we have had the opportunity to work with BrainPower. Read more about our 2022 giving campaign in this blog.
