Everlight Solar’s Volunteering Efforts This Thanksgiving Season

November 18, 2024

At Everlight Solar, we believe that the power of solar energy extends beyond sustainability—it encompasses the spirit of community and giving back. Across our offices, we have the privilege of partnering with incredible organizations. In 2023, we continued our commitment to giving back by volunteering with several impactful organizations during Thanksgiving. Our Minnesota offices partnered with Community Emergency Assistance Programs (CEAP) and Brainpower in a Backpack. Additionally, Everlight Solar staff members in Wisconsin dedicated time to the Second Harvest Food Bank and our Nebraska office helped provide emergency and supplemental supplies to Food Bank for the Heartland.

Here’s a glimpse at our upcoming volunteering efforts this Thanksgiving:

Together Inc. – Omaha, NE

In Omaha, our team is partnering with Together Inc., an organization committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the region. Through its food pantry and housing programs, Together Inc. provides essential services to individuals and families facing challenges. Our Omaha office is honored to spend time at the food pantry, sorting and distributing meals to those in need.

Second Harvest Heartland – Madison, WI

In Madison, WI, our team is collaborating with Second Harvest Heartland, a leading hunger relief organization. Second Harvest Heartland works with food banks and community programs across Wisconsin, distributing millions of meals each year. Our Madison team is joining forces to pack and sort food for distribution, contributing to the fight against hunger.

Feeding America – Milwaukee, Wi

Our team in Milwaukee is working alongside Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization. Feeding America works with local food banks to provide meals to individuals and families in need. Through volunteering with Feeding America in Eastern WI, we are supporting their mission by helping sort donations and pack food for distribution.

Brainpower in a Backpack – Savage & Brooklyn Park, MN

Our Minnesota offices are participating in Brainpower in a Backpack, a program designed to help students in need by providing them with food for the weekend. This initiative, based in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage school district, ensures that students who rely on school meals don’t go hungry when school isn’t in session. By packing bags of food for local students, our team has the opportunity to make a direct impact on young lives.
