Everlight Solar’s Food Drive with Second Harvest

December 02, 2024

From November 18th through November 22nd, the Madison, Wisconsin Everlight Solar team partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank to host a food drive that highlighted our commitment to community and the spirit of giving. This initiative was more than just a collection effort—it was an opportunity to come together as a team and make a meaningful impact.

A Shopping Trip to Remember

To kick off the week, members of the Everlight Solar team embarked on a shopping trip to purchase non-perishable goods for the food drive. Armed with carts and plenty of enthusiasm, we filled them to the brim with items like canned vegetables, soups, pasta, and other essentials. It was a great way to bond as coworkers and collectively contribute to an important cause.

Why Second Harvest FOod bank?

Second Harvest Food Bank is known for its dedication to fighting hunger and ensuring that everyone in the community has access to nutritious meals. Partnering with such a reputable organization made it easy to align our goals with theirs. We know our contributions would directly support families in need. Throughout the year, our team at Everlight Solar volunteers with Second Harvest Food Bank as well! This includes sorting and packing food, assisting with distribution, and supporting their community outreach programs. These hands-on efforts allow us to deepen our connection to their mission and see firsthand the difference we’re making together.

Gratitude and Giving Back

At Everlight Solar, giving back is at the core of who we are. This food drive wasn’t just about donating items; it was about fostering a culture of kindness and service. Thank you to everyone who donated food and participated in making this event a success.

Together, we can brighten lives both through renewable energy and acts of generosity. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank and finding new ways to support our community!
