According to a Rolling Stones article, “By using a biodiesel-fueled tour bus, reducing waste, and eating locally while on tour, Matthews’ band has managed to retroactively neutralize the carbon footprint of its entire touring career.”

Sheryl Crow

American singer and songwriter Sheryl Crow worked to “greenify” her 2010 tour, which is estimated to have neutralized almost 1.5 million pounds of CO2. In particular, Crow and her touring crew’s efforts included biodegradable and compostable catering, biodiesel fuel, and the use of reusable water bottles for both the band and crew. According to a Rolling Stones article, “The tour’s total carbon reductions were equivalent to 81 homes not using electricity for an entire year.”
